The Lebanon ReStore accepts home improvement goods—furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances. Your donated goods are sold to the general public at a fraction of the retail price to help our local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat homes within our community. The Lebanon Habitat ReStore will accept the following merchandise:
Appliances:
The Re-Store CANNOT Accept:
- Broken Glass.
- Broken Mirrors.
- Broken items
- Paint thinner or other hazardous or toxic chemicals.
- Pesticides.
- Single pane windows
- Unframed Glass.
- Scrap Lumber.
- Garage doors or door openers.
- Free standing woodstoves
- Alum/vinyl siding?
- Appliances will be collected on site. Affordable Appliance will periodically pick up non-working and older appliances from site. Upon sale of refurbished appliance, LAHfH will receive 20-25% of the sale of said appliance.
Architectural Items:
- Columns, antiques, mantelpieces, etc.
Cabinets/Countertops:
- Individual pieces or full cabinet sets-kitchen or bathroom. Must have all doors and drawers and be in stable condition. Countertops must be in good condition with minimal chips or damage.
Flooring:
- Carpets – excellent condition with no visible wear or tear, no stains, and no animal smells.
- Carpet padding-any size with no animal smells.
- Hardwood/parquet flooring-must be free of rot and in usable quantities.
- Vinyl tile, sheet vinyl, linoleum-any quantity of new material.
- Ceramic tile
Doors:
- Pre-hung or door slabs.
- Exterior or interior without rot, cracks or missing panes.
- Entryway Units.
- Sliding glass-must have all tracking, no cracked or foggy glass. Must be free of bowing and twisting
- Must be free of holes and deep gouges
- Must be free of water damage and splintering
Electrical: misc; no old fraying wire
Hardware:
- Complete sets of door hardware, hinges, etc.
- Any quantity of nails, screws, hangers, connectors, etc.
Paint:
- Any minimum ¾ full non-rusted cans of latex paint or stain.
Plumbing:
- Sinks-all types of kitchen and bathroom sinks (no rust).
- Bathtubs-Fiberglass or cast iron, steel.
- Shower enclosures-all components.
- Faucets-complete sets only.
- Pipe/PVC/Metal/Copper-four ft. length and over.
- Pipe supplies and fittings-any type.
- Commodes-not badly chipped, must be clean and in good working condition. Keep limited supply of 5 gal toilets on hand
- Miscellaneous plumbing hardware.
Lumber:
- Dimensional-4 ft: lengths of treated or non-treated.
- Sheet goods – 1/2 sheets or larger of particleboard, pressboard, plywood, paneling, etc.
- Trim and molding-4 ft. lengths or longer. Must be free of rot and water damage
- Must be free of excessive twisting and bowing
Lighting:
- Good and in working order.
Storm Windows and Doors:
- With all windows and screens, and all tracking or framing.
Windows:
- Minimum double panes. No single pane.
- Double-hung, picture, bay – complete window units with all sashes, no rot, no cracked or foggy glass.
- Metal screens.
- Wood screens.
Roofing Materials/Gutters:
- New shingles, full bundles.
- Rolls of roofing material.
- Roofing gutter materials in full pieces with no rust or damage.
Sheet Rock (Wall Board):
- Full sheets.
Vents (Floor, Ceiling, Return):
- Clean and in good condition.
Furniture:
- Not as a rule, but may make exception as opportunity presents itself.
We also accept:
- Wallpaper-full rolls.
- Shutters (interior and exterior).
- HVAC units / AC units.
- Hand tools and power tools.
- Thermostats.
- Household items / housewares.
- Fans.
- Insulation – new only.
- Mirrors-framed only.
- Do-it-yourself home repair books
- Clean metal drums ?
- Bicycles ?
- Playground equipment ?
